In March of 2024, I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. It was found from an MRI that was for my lower back and a malignant tumor was detected. I had life-saving surgery three weeks later and although it was stage 3, it was caught early. And by the Grace of God it did not hit my lymph nodes or any other organs.
Ovarian cancer is not a cancer that is spoken about yet it is one of the deadliest cancers for women because it is a silent killer. I had absolutely no symptoms. If I did not have that MRI for my back problems, I would not be typing this right now.

Since 1996, they have helped thousands of people whose lives have been impacted by breast, ovarian and other gynecological cancers Support Connection provides critically needed counseling, support groups, educational and wellness programs, and resource information – all at no cost to those who need them.
Everyone at Support Connection is passionate about their mission. Their Peer Counselors are cancer survivors themselves. They understand how important it is to have someone to lean on when your world is turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis.
Support Connection must raise all of the funds for their year-round services, so the Support-A-Walk is a very important event!
