In January of this year, our mom lost her fierce battle with Ovarian cancer. First Diagnosed in 2012, she beat the Stage 4 beast and was cancer free until 2019 when it returned. While she fought her best, she wasn't able to beat it this go round and we said goodbye to her in January. During her battle, Support Connection was an incredible resource to her and our family. We walked in many of the Suport-A-Walk events with Mom.
This year, we are proud to sponsor the walk and will be once again walking in memory of mom. It will be tough, but it's so important for us to continue to honor her and support this amazing organization.
SUPPORT CONNECTION is a truly unique organization. Since 1996, they have helped thousands of people whose lives have been impacted by breast, ovarian and gynecological cancer. Support Connection provides critically needed counseling, support groups, educational and wellness programs, and resource information – all at no cost to those who need them.
Everyone at Support Connection is passionate about their mission. Their Peer Counselors are cancer survivors themselves. They understand how important it is to have someone to lean on when your world is turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis.
Support Connection must raise all of the funds for their year-round services, so the Support-A-Walk is a very important event!
